In order to create a database that would enable decision makers in Jordan to determine the need for legal aid and the best policies to address it, the Justice Center for Legal Aid held a survey at the national level. The study was conducted in 2011, in partnership with the Jordanian Department of General Statistics, with funding from the World Bank, the Jordanian Ministry of Planning and a contribution from Future Foundation. This was the first study of its in kind in Jordan, which set the baseline for other similar efforts in the future.
